Step-by-Step Guide
5 steps · takes under 1 minute
Start with a clean, high-contrast image
Discord emoji display at 22×22px in chat messages. Choose an image with bold shapes, strong contrast, and minimal fine detail — it needs to be recognisable at thumbnail size.
Open the Image Resizer
Go to the Resize tool. It runs in your browser with no upload required.
Turn off aspect ratio lock and set 128×128
Disable 'Maintain aspect ratio', then enter Width: 128 and Height: 128. For non-square images, crop to square first using the Crop tool.
Check file format and size
Discord accepts PNG, JPG, and GIF (animated) under 256KB. A 128×128 PNG is typically 5–30KB. A 128×128 GIF under 256KB can include a short animation loop.
Upload to Discord
Go to Server Settings → Emoji → Upload Emoji. Select your 128×128 file. Discord displays it as :emojiname: in chat at 22px, or at 48px when sent alone (the 'jumbo' mode).
100% Private — Zero Uploads
ImgToolkit runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to a server, never stored in the cloud, and never seen by anyone else. This makes it safe for sensitive documents, client work, medical imagery, and confidential screenshots.
