Amazon Product Image Size Requirements
Amazon's product image requirements are strict — and getting them wrong means your listing looks unprofessional or gets suppressed in search results. Amazon requires the main product image (MAIN) to be on a pure white background (RGB 255, 255, 255), at least 1000×1000 pixels (1600×1600 recommended for zoom), in JPEG format. This guide covers every Amazon image requirement with exact specifications so your listing passes Amazon's quality checks.

Amazon's product image requirements are strict — and getting them wrong means your listing looks unprofessional or gets suppressed in search results. Step-by-Step Guide
5 steps · takes under 1 minute
Shoot or obtain your product image
The MAIN image must show only the product on a pure white background — no props, text, logos, or watermarks. Use a lightbox or remove the background digitally.
Remove the background if needed
Use the Background Remover tool to isolate your product, then use the Background Color Changer or export on white canvas to get a pure white (RGB 255,255,255) background.
Resize to 2000×2000px
Amazon recommends 2000×2000px for the main product image. This enables the zoom feature which increases conversion rates. Minimum is 1000×1000px, but zoom requires 1000px or more on the long side.
Save as JPEG at 85–90% quality
Amazon requires JPEG (JPG) format for the MAIN image. Save at 85–90% quality — this gives near-lossless quality at a fraction of the file size.
Keep images under 10MB
Amazon accepts images up to 10MB. A 2000×2000px JPEG at 85% quality is typically 300–800KB — well within the limit.
100% Private — Zero Uploads
ImgToolkit runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to a server, never stored in the cloud, and never seen by anyone else. This makes it safe for sensitive documents, client work, medical imagery, and confidential screenshots.
Pro tip
Pre-optimizing images before uploading to a platform gives you more control than relying on the platform's automatic (and often aggressive) compression.
